November 1, 1954 - February 24, 2025
On February 24, 2025, Shelda Maire Edwards, aged 70, of Vernon, British Columbia, passed away suddenly at home with Terry, her loving husband of 25 years, by her side.
Shelley was born in Prince Rupert, British Columbia, on November 1,1954 and grew up in Castlegar, British Columbia. She graduated from high school and furthered her education at Selkirk College, where she earned a business diploma, which allowed her to work in the insurance industry where she met her husband, Terry.
Shelley was known for her strong will, unwavering determination, and love and support for her family and friends. She was a long-devoted member of her sobriety of 40 years and belonged to the Alcoholics Anonymous Society, which she stated many times it saved her life.
Shelley's passion for life was being outside in her garden, being on their boat fishing, and camping in her trailer. She was known for her gourmet meals on these camping trips; she never brought hotdogs or hamburgers, it was always legs of lamb, pork tenderloin, Beef Wellington, etc.
Shelley, deeply cared for her family and she will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She will be remembered as a loving mother, wife, grandmother, sister and friend.
She is survived by her husband Terry and her son Dennis (Kelly), stepchildren Shilo (Dave), Natasha (Kirk), grandchildren Logan, Cordelia, Allie, and Hannah; her sisters Andie (Doug), Debbie, Patti, and Katherine; her brother Don (M'Liz); and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded by her parents Dick and Pat Paul, brother Richard, nephews Mathew and Jeremy, niece Shannon, and brother in-law Gerry.
