December 17, 1965 - April 18, 2020
Simon Charles Boka made his grand entrance into his world in Eastham London England on December 17th, 1965 to Molly and Joseph Boka.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our son, brother, husband, father, uncle, cousin and friend to so many on April 18th, 2020. His battle with cancer was short but courageous and he was taken far too soon at the age of 54.
He leaves behind his Mother (Molly), Brother (Colin), Sister (Theresa), his wife Tina, daughters Meghan, Jordan & Ashley and Son Jesse.
May we all remember the silly jokes he told, his laughter and smile, his love of Elton John and Billy Joel, his talent of playing piano, chocolate milk, timmies coffee and porches. He was an avid reader, loved books, played around with photography and took some amazing photos in his travels. He had a passion for sailing with his uncle Charlie and best friend Ron, they sailed in Holland and then into Queensferry Scotland. There adventures also led them to Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Sckidam, Hellevoutsluis and Belgium.
We are living in some pretty crazy times at the moment and it is hard to find closure without having a proper memorial, but we will honor Simon as soon as we can when all the Covid restrictions are lifted. For the time being if you wish to find comfort in visiting him, we will be having a memorial bench placed in his honor at Pass Creek Park.
We know you were not alone on your journey home Dad was waiting to guide the way and now may you rest in peace with him, your nana, papa and cousin Ian.
May we all find peace in knowing that you have now been set free to do what you love and to sail the world listening to Elton John's greatest hits.
