March 11, 1970 - January 12, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Steven Thomas Tyler Jerome on Tuesday, January 12th of 2021, after a brief battle with an aggressive form of brain cancer. He was 50 years old.
Steven was born on March 11th, 1970 in Castlegar BC. Steve spent most of his time outdoors and was an avid member of the Slo-Pitch Community. Steve loved his community and was well known for his infectious smile and his willingness to "pitch" in and help a friend in need. Steve had a keen interest and passion for local history and enjoyed exploring old Kootenay mine sites in search of clues and artifacts.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Candis Jerome. Steve leaves behind to mourn, his daughter Jessica (Airdre, AB), son Shea (Castlegar) and daughter Maya (Castlegar). He also has 2 grandsons, Liam & Grayson (Airdrie, AB), brother Ken Jerome, Sisters Jacqueline Janssen (Steve) and Kim Woods (Mike), as well as many nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid-19 A Celebration of life will be planned in the future. People wishing to honor's Steve memory and the love of his community, his family encourages you to make a donation to the Castlegar Food Bank.
