Susan passed away at home in Chase, BC on Wednesday, September 18, 2012, at the age of 69 years following a long battle with cancer.

Susan was born in Creston, BC to Dud and Margaret Rogers on May 8, 1944 and grew up on the family farm in the Creston Valley; graduating from Creston Valley High School. Susan married in 1962 and left the Creston to eventually settle in the West Kootenay area where she raised her two children and operated businesses with her ex-husband. Following the end of the marriage in 1998, Susan found love with her long time friend George Bondaroff. They lived and worked together, first renovating a heritage home in Slocan, BC, Swan House and then operating a successful B&B from the home in Slocan until they both retired to Chase, BC.

Susan was a successful business woman, a realtor and the developer and proprietor of an inviting Bed and Breakfast. She loved gardening, reading, interior design and most of all enjoyed sharing the many rewards of her talent and shills with those around her.

Susan is survived by her spouse George Bondaroff, son Spencer King (Ira), daughter Leslie Olstad (Jeff) , step-children Sean Bondaroff and Tracy Begg (Jeff), one granddaughter and 5 step grandchildren and also several nieces and nephews. Susan is predeceased by

her mother and father, brother and grandson.

The family would like to extend grateful appreciation to the Chase Home and Community Service and the many neighbours that, during the last five years helped Susan fight cancer. It was Susan’s wishes that no services be held. In lieu of flowers and cards, please make an immemorial donation to the BC Cancer Society
