March 5, 1971 - January 9, 2025
In loving memory ~
Suzanne Marie Chernoff, passed away unexpectedly on January 9, 2025, in South Slocan, BC. Born on March 5, 1971, in Vegreville, AB, Suzie was a kind and caring presence to all who knew her.
Growing up, Suzie was deeply connected to the world of horses and participated in 4H, earning numerous trophies throughout her youth. She later pursued a career in Early Childhood Education for several years before transitioning to a role as Personnel Manager at a health and wellness clinic, where she was loved by both staff and clients for her warmth and dedication. Suzie's warm smile could light up any room, and her friendly nature made everyone feel cared for.
Outside of work, Suzie had a passion for the outdoors, enjoying swimming, hiking, and walks with her dogs. She found joy in country music and cherished spending time with her family. Suzie's legacy of love, compassion, and resilience will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
She leaves behind her husband, Joe Chernoff, daughter Emily, son Brett, her mother Mary Heimann, father Albert Drapaka, and nephew Trent Drapaka. She was predeceased by her brother, Jim Drapaka, who was deeply loved and always held close in her heart. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
May she rest peacefully in
God's heavenly kingdom.
