February 6, 1944 - May 26, 2021
It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we have to announce the sudden passing of our husband, dad, Deda and friend, Timothy (Tim) Horcoff Sr.
Tim went on his last journey May 26, 2021 with his family by his side.
Tim was born on February 6, 1944 in Trail, BC to Nick and Florence Horcoff and lived all of his life in Castlegar, BC on the Horcoff Farm. After graduating from Stanley Humphries Secondary School in 1963, he went on to work at Celgar Pulp Mill and retired after 51 years.
In 1966, he married his best friend Katherine (Kathey) Kazakoff and they began their life on the Farm. On December 10, 1970 they were blessed with their son Timothy Horcoff Jr. and on May 23, 1998 they gained a daughter-in-law Leann.
He received the greatest call on February 8, 2004, that he become a Deda. The love of his life Brennan was born.
Tim loved all sports, but his favourites were fastball, basketball, hockey and curling. He enjoyed many trips following their son and grandson to watch them play ball and hockey.
He loved farming, gardening, cooking and travelling with Kathey to play slots. Of which, he always claimed half of her winnings.
Tim is survived by his wife Kathey of 54 years, son Tim (Leann), grandson Brennan, brothers Fred (Marlene), John (Bruna), 5 nieces and nephews, 8 great nieces and nephews and many friends in both Canada and USA.
He was predeceased by his father Nick, mother Florence and infant brother Nick.
The family would to thank the Doctors and nurses at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail and the staff of the Castlegar Funeral Chapel for all of their care and support.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you do not go alone for part of us went with you on the day God called you home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Society or Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society.
At Tim's request there will be no service.
