It is with heavy hearts that we announce the loss of Tracy Barabonoff who passed on Saturday, June 4th, 2016 in Castlegar, BC. Tracy was born on August 20th, 1981 in Castlegar BC.
She is survived by father Clarence and wife Donna, mother Liane, sisters Carrie (Allen) and Michelle, stepsisters Caroline and Rayann, as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Tracy was a dedicated Aunt to her nephews and niece, taking the role of nanny after the birth of her sister’s second child. Tracy loved to socialize with her many friends. She was an excellent listener and was always there for people when they needed someone to talk to.
Although Tracy gave much to her friends and family, she also loved her quite and introspective alone time. She enjoyed painting, spending moments in nature, and companionship from furry friends.
Tracy had a smile that lit up any room she entered. She will be remembered for her warm and caring heart, trustworthiness, willingness to help, fun-loving nature, and dry, quirky sense of humour.
A public memorial service and Celebration of Life was held on June 14th at Brilliant Cultural Centre.
As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family for a memorial bench for Tracy.
