After a brief battle with cancer Vera passed away March 14, 2020 with her loved ones at her side. Vera was born on October 1, 1945 in Trail, BC. She was raised on the Konkin farm in Tarrys. She lived there until her marriage to Nick Popoff in 1963. They had 2 children, Patty and Danny. Vera and Nick lived in the same house in Ootischenia until her death. She loved to spoil her family with Doukhobor goodies, plenty of baking and homemade slippers. She enjoyed gardening and especially her lilac trees.
Vera is survived by her husband Nick, daughter Patty, son-in-law Stu and grandson Kyle. As well as her brother Sam and his children Aaron, Jasmine, Tiffaney, great niece Diana and new addition Charlotte along with their families.
She was predeceased by her son Danny, parents Sam and Vera Konkin, brothers Dave and Andy and his daughter Stacey.
