In loving memory ~
Verna Osachoff, passed away on August 14th, 2022 with her husband Peter, holding her hand, after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Verna was born on December 6th, 1947 in Nelson BC, to parents Pete & Nellie Fofonoff, she was the youngest of 4 children. She was predeceased by her parents and brothers; Cyril, John & Bill.
Verna was raised in Shoreacres, and graduated from Stanley Humphries Secondary School. Verna and Peter Osachoff were united in marriage in 1971 and resided in South Slocan, together they lived a fulfilled life and enjoyed travelling.
The family would like to extend thanks and appreciation to Interior Health, the staff at Kootenay Lake Hospital, the Doctors and caring staff of Popular Ridge Pavilion in Trail for their excellent care. The Castlegar Funeral Chapel, Harry Zeabin and the Shoreacres Cemetery attendants for their professional services.
A heartfelt thank you also to those that travelled near and far to attend her grave side service and those who shared cards and flowers.
Verna will be greatly missed by her loving husband Peter, family, and friends.
She will be forever loved and greatly missed.
