It is with great sadness that the family of Wayne Clarene Ackerman announce his passing on
July 20, 2012 at the age of 73 years. He was born in Rossland, B.C. and later moved to Kinnaird with his parents, brothers and sisters. Wayne did all his schooling in Kinnaird and Castlegar. He worked for the City for 39 years until his retirement. He also belonged to the Fire Department for 22 years before retiring.
Wayne was predeceased by his Father Clarence, Mother Marion, Father-in-law Roy, Mother-in-law Ann, brother-in-law Clifford and sister-in-law Darlene.
Wayne is survived by his wife Merle, daughter Tamara, son Brian, grandchildren: Emily, Roman and Camron; great granddaughter Maddison; brother Eric, sisters Myrna (Dave) Brost, Linda Ackerman, Colleen (Syd) Estabrooks; also numerous nephews and nieces.
A Celebration of Life will be announced
at a later date.
