May 1, 1961 - January 29, 2021
With great sadness, we announce the passing of Wayne Barrett on Jan. 29. 2021. He leaves to mourn his brothers Ross (Marilyn) and Roy (Marla). He was predeceased by his parents Allan Ross Barrett and Elaine Masters and his brothers Nelson and Allan. He also leaves to mourn many nieces, nephews and friends.
Wayne was born in Montreal but spent most of his life in B.C. Wayne worked many jobs, as a railway worker, in forestry, doing geological surveys, crew chief fighting forest fires and mechanic throughout B.C.
His passion was wood and stone carvings, which can be viewed all over B.C. Wayne loved everything outdoors, traveling and working extensively in all parts of B.C. The wilderness and the wildlife within were his friends!
He will be greatly missed by his family, as well as his friends in Castlegar. Wayne will be interred in Montreal.
