It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Father and Deda. Bill was born in Nelson, BC to Alex and Tanya Kooznetsoff. He grew up on a farm in Glade, B.C. where he helped work at the family business, the Glade General Store.

After graduating from high school, Bill attended the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) and became an Electrical Technologist. He worked at Texaco in Nelson with his brother Walter before moving to Thompson, Manitoba to work at the INCO mine. Six years later, the family moved back to Glade to take over the family business.

Bill was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed snowmobiling, ATVing, boating, camping and fishing with his family and friends. One of his favourite pastimes was taking the family up to Rover Creek on the snowmobiles or ATVs to enjoy lunch at the cabin. During his formative years, Bill enjoyed participating in sports, particularly fastball, badminton and basketball.

He was predeceased by his parents, Alex and Tanya, and brothers Carl and Walter. He will be lovingly remembered by his son Michael (Jennifer), daughter Michelle (Brad) and his two grandsons, Aiden and Matthew. A celebration of life in Bill’s honour will be held on Wednesday, March 1st at 1:00 p.m. at the New Life Assembly Church, 602 – 7th Street, in Castlegar. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill’s memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, online at www.diabetes.ca or mail to: Canadian Diabetes Association, 1589 Sutherland Ave., Kelowna, B.C., V1Y 5Y7.
