In loving memory ~
Bill passed away in the Trail hospital on May 22, 2024, just 3 days after his 83rd birthday, from a very sudden infection.
Bill worked in the lumber industry as a millwright from the age of 15 until his retirement at 65. Bill loved his home and spent countless proud hours on his 3 acres of lawn, flowers and gardens. His passion was rebuilding machinery - welders, compressors, tractors, lathes, wood splitters - rarely coming into the house earlier than 10pm.
Bill loved his family tremendously and leaves behind to mourn a great loss his wife Margie, married one month shy of 59 years. His chosen daughter Neva (John) Popoff and greatest grandson AJ, who his Deda loved so much, from Chestermere AB. His chosen son Chad (Toni) Kootnekoff of Red Deer AB. Sister Gloria (Bob) Drury of Stanwood Washington and family, sister Lynn (Ron) Nadon of Calgary AB and family, brother Randy (Susan) Kootnekoff of Kelowna BC and family.
We'd like to thank the Best Western in Bonners Ferry, Idaho for their quick response. The Boundary Hospital in Idaho and the Trail Hospital for their care. Thank you to my daughter Neva who was with me every second and to my son Chad for rushing to be with me. Thank you to Johnny, AJ Popoff and Toni Kootnekoff for their help and strength. Thank you to everyone who called, wrote and came to the house for their love and support. It was Bill`s wish to be cremated and a private service with immediate family will be held at a later date.
