Aug 2, 1927 - Apr 21, 2018
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of William Kavaloff on April 21, 2018 at Talarico Place.

Dad was born at Champion Creek on August 2, 1927 and spent his youth exploring and learning.

Dad met Florence Negreiff on a visit to Grand Forks and they married on February 23, 1947.

Daughters Grace and Barbara soon followed.

Dad had several careers in his life besides fatherhood. He worked as a Steam Engineer for the CPR, Cominco and in the forest industry in Williams Lake and Salmo.

Dad was diagnosed with MS at 35 years old and spent the rest of his life physically challenged but unwilling to give in to the disease.

Dad worked with the Blueberry Creek Irrigation District from 1954 when the family moved to Blueberry up until 1997 when they decided to move to Castlegar.

Dad, mom and the dogs loved to travel to Arizona and New Mexico and I'm certain that's where they are now in a big air conditioned station wagon.

Bill was predeceased by his daughter Barbara, wife Florence, his parents William and Molly and his sister Mary and brother John. He is survived by his daughter Grace, brother Paul (June), sisters in law Emma, Mary (Willie), Polly, many nieces and nephews, and granddog Mischa and cat Princess.

Cremation has taken place with a private internment to follow.

There will be no service by request.

We would like to thank the wonderful staff at Talarico Place for making dad's last years so special and the Castlegar Funeral Chapel for their care and attention.
