Bill was born in Trail on April 20th, 1933. He lived in Castlegar since 1941 and was a long-time member of Kiwanis and the Castlegar /Robson Legion. Bill enjoyed music, curling and golf. He was a member of the first graduating class from Stanley Humphries Secondary School where he taught for the majority of his 34 year teaching career. He spent one of those years teaching at West Vancouver Secondary School.

Bill will be remembered by many for his very dry wit and his extensive

general knowledge. He had a talent for music, played piano by ear, strummed his guitar, had a really good singing voice, and liked nothing better than a 'rousing singalong' with family, friends and colleagues.

The family would like to thank Dr. Larocque, the Nursing Staffs at Trail and District Hospital and Castleview, Hospice and the Home Support Workers for their care. They would also like to thank friends and neighbours for their visits, support, food, cards, and flowers.

In memory of Bill, please give to the charity of your choice. Throughout his life, Bill supported the Cancer Fund, Heart and Stroke Foundation and CNIB.

Bill will be cremated by Valley Funeral Services in Nelson. There will be no service as requested by Bill. Family, friends and loved ones will be gathering at a later date to celebrate his life.
