I believe that a healthy democracy needs at least two left wing and two right wing parties. Competition keeps political parties fresh, engaged, and ensures that they are putting people first.

It was a privilege to give right-leaning voters in the Kootenay West riding a second option in this election. Environmental action and smaller government, a fresh combination from a small, passionate BC Conservative party.

Thank you to everyone who nominated me and who voted for me, and congratulations to Katrine on another decisive victory.

The BC conservative party had candidates in less than 25 per cent of the ridings this election. To be part of such a small party and to have such a close amount of votes between myself and a candidate from the large, well established Liberal party was truly exciting.
