Re: Castlegar doctors address misunderstandings about Urgent and Primary Care Centre
I had to respond to this in-depth and explanatory article. The anonymous allegation that Castlegar doctors had “banded together to further their own interests” irked me. Anonymously criticizing Castlegar doctors who are trying to meet the needs of our community in the midst of a nation-wide family doctor shortage is a low blow. Withholding one’s name from such a letter speaks to me of gossip and maybe gossip of the worst kind — destructive and demoralizing.
I am a lucky Castlegar resident. I have had the same family physician since 2004. She has chosen to stay when others have left. So thank you doctors of Castlegar — this patient is grateful for your care and dedication. Hats off to you.
