Dear Niki Sharma and Mr. Eby,
Upon reading your proposal at distributing the remuneration of the monies that was expected by what is left of the survivors of the New Denver crises — it has dismayed the surviving former inmates of the unholy institution of New Denver that you have neglected and bypassed the requests of the survivors to have this money directed to the surviving individuals to better each individual to enjoy and use this money to better themselves in their surviving years and passing the rest onto deceased families and offspring.
Dear Ms. Sharma and Mr. Eby, with all due respect, it makes this outcome to the survivors feel abandoned by your administration that they have waited for many, many years to have some comfort in receiving help to heal in their latter years. In due respect, other inmates of residential schools have received help in this respect and why are the identical sufferers treated differently?
You may not understand by directing these monies to other institutions it is no help and will not benefit the survivors as they are now beyond the age of interest in using these proposed facilities as time is running out for them.
We feel that the vast majority of the survivors have the same feeling of abandonment as this letter states.
