Even though my 90th Birthday tea was cancelled, I did have a really nice time with all my good friends at the Seniors Thursday afternoon bingo, (which was my actual birthdate) but still received so many cards and flowers from far and wide, which was wonderful.
To those of you who gave cards, phonecalls with good wishes and moral support, I’d like to say a big thank you to all of you, and last but not least, to my BFFs, Pat and Maureen for making it a day to remember.
All was not over. On the Monday my friends and comrades of the Castlegar Legion L.A. gave me a lovely evening as well, in honour of my 90th birthday, so I have two days of wonderful memories instead of one.
I’m so lucky.
Castlegar is a great place to live.
