1. Why are you committed to your sport?

I like to go fast. I like the challenges.

2. What are your goals for these Games and in sport? To walk away with at least one medal and to compete at the Canada Winter Games next year in Prince George for either Long Track or Short Track.

3. How did you train and prepare for the BC Winter Games? Training in Nelson and Calgary. 3 - 4 times on the ice. As well as off-ice training, dryland, weights, biking.

4. What are your other activities are you involved in (other sports, arts, volunteering)? Track and Field

5. Do you have any family members participating in these Games or who have participated in past BC Games or at national/international events? If yes, please provide details. These will be my second BC Winter Games. First 2012. Mom, Melanie Hartleb 1992 and 1994 - Biathlon, Canada Winter Games 1995. Dad, Jason Hartleb Coach speed skating 2010, 2012,2014. Cousin - Samara Steenvoorden 2006 - Biathlon Cousin - Patrick Linklett

6. Please share any other interesting stories about you and your involvement in sport. I'm moving to Calgary next year to train full time to help with my goal of making the BC Team for the Canada Games next year.

7. Why did you want to try out and qualify for the 2014 BC Winter Games? To win medals and for the experience

8. Who is your coach and what is the most important thing she/he has taught you? Jason Hartleb

9. Do you have a role model who has made an impact on your life (coach, teacher, family member, etc.)? If so, describe how they have impacted you. Scott Bickerton. He coached me when I first started out speed skating and is now on the National Development Team.

10. What do you consider to be your highest achievement (athletic, academic, or other)? Competing at the Canadian Jr. Championship for Long Track this year.
