Castlegar Mixed Curling held its Sunflower Mixed Curling Bonspiel from Jan. 20 – 22.

Eighteen teams from the Kootenay region competed over three days and celebrated being back on the ice after missing two years due to COVID restrictions.

Hometown rinks swept the trophies, winning all four groups: Gerrand – Group A; Horning – Group B; van Yzerloo – Group C; McKenzie – Group D.

The next event at the club will be the Men’s Groundhog Bonspiel starting on Feb. 3.
