Castlegar's very own Dam City Rollers invited derby girls from the region to Selkirk College on Thursday night for a holiday scrimmage.



Castlegar’s very own Dam City Rollers invited derby girls from the region to Selkirk College on Thursday night for a holiday scrimmage.

Skaters were split onto two teams, Red and Green, and then faced off in an informal bout that allowed everyone a chance to practice and learn together.

The event was also a fundraising effort to help Dam City Roller Kylie Morin cover expenses during her upcoming travels for Team Canada practices. Morin was drafted to the Team Canada development team in November.
