Castlegar jiu jitsu athletes bring home the hardware

Competitors from Confluence Jiu Jitsu attended a marathon 11 hour day at the 8th Kootenay Submission Series in Creston on April 27.

Collectively the Castlegar club was able to win second place in the Overall Team Category comprising gyms from all over the Kootenays, Idaho State, and as far as Calgary.

Highlights included Daniel Gaughan going undefeated en route to winning the Absolute Division championship, as well as Confluence athletes sweeping the podium in the Ultra Heavyweight Division.
