A Castlegar curling team is in Quesnel this week at the 2019 BC Men’s Curling Championship.

Skip Deane Horning, lead James McKenzie, second Dave Toffolo and third Travis Cameron qualified for the event by winning the Kootenay Playdowns.

The team narrowly lost their first game. They were tied in the ninth end, but the Blanford rink from Victoria scored one in the tenth to win the game.

The team also lost their second game, dropping them into the “C” Event.

They will play again Thursday afternoon. If they win that game, they will play again Thursday evening.
