Castlegar Skating Club presents annual awards

The club looks forward to starting a new season in September

On Aug. 6 the Castlegar Skating Club held its annual awards ceremony.

Congratulations to all Castlegar Club STARSkaters for their outstanding achievements, to graduating skater Hailey Gleboff, and to both Megan and Sarah Cousins on earning their Freeskate Gold Feet.

Thank you to wonderful coaches Rachel Stewart, Ashley Ross, Zoey Crockart, Jordyn Eberts and Allison Soukeroff, to all volunteers and executives for all the hours they dedicate to the club.

Unfortunately, due to the current pandemic, the club was unable to celebrate with all members present. However, awards were distributed individually to the following skaters for their exceptional achievements:

Junior Skater Award: Ella Pangburn and Emma McIntosh

Preliminary Skater of the Year Award: Kailee Stewart and Anaya Molitwenik

Intermediate Skater of the Year Award: Lea Kooznetsoff

Senior Skater of the Year Award: Sarah Cousins

Congeniality Award: Anastasia Salekin and Jordan Singer

Best All Around Skater Award: Taylor Singer

Most Dedicated Skater Award: Taylor Singer

Interpretive Award: Allison Soukeroff

Program Assistant of the Year Award: Hailey Gleboff

Gold Feet Freeskate Achievement: Megan Cousins and Sarah Cousins
