Special Olympics B.C. - Castlegar will be hosting the Bocce Regional Qualifying tournament on June 16 at Selkirk College in Castlegar.
to ensure a successful event, Special Olympics B.C. - Castlegar is looking for several volunteers to help out with the Bocce qualifier.
"In order to provide a wonderful sport experience for all of the teams coming to participate from all over the Kootenays, we are looking to our community for support," said Debra MacKenzie, program/local coordinator.
There is expected to be approximately 75 athletes and coaches attending. Volunteers needed are scorekeepers, officials, first aid responders, and general volunteers. Anyone interested in volunteering please contact MacKenzie at 250-365-2839 or email debmac23@shaw.ca.
