Castlegar’s U11 development team, Selkirk Selects, went undefeated in the Cranbrook U11 Bucks Development tournament last weekend earning themselves a spot in the gold medal game against also undefeated Elk Valley.

Castlegar started the scoring off early in the first period with a goal from Coleman Negreiff, followed up by two in the second from Parker Jones and Kesler Barclay.

In the third, Elk Valley answered back with two goals but Lucas Kravski and Jon McNeal wrapped up scoring for the Selects for a final score of 5-2.

Quinn Hooper had 47 shots on goal with a .957 SV%. Quinn Hooper was awarded MVP for his incredible display in net while the Heart and Hustle award went to defenseman Ryden Wicharuk.
