Castlegar’s roller derby team is hosting a bout on home turf this week.

The Dam City Rollers will face off against the Farmers’ Slaughters from Armstrong, B.C. on Saturday at Selkirk College. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the bout begins at 6 p.m.

Tickets are $10, or $5 with a food bank donation, for adults and children 12 and under are free with a donation of either food or cash to the Castlegar Community Harvest Food Bank.

The event will include a BBQ, beer garden and 50/50 draw.

This will be the Dams’ first big home game since they faced off against the Nelson Killjoys in November.
