Cranbrook hosted its annual Sam Steele soccer tournament last weekend. This is the last tournament for the Kootenay South Youth Soccer Association (KSYSA) U13 Boys before they are off to the Provincial playoffs, being held the first week of July in Aldergrove. Teams participating included those from Cranbrook, Creston, Columbia Valley (Invermere), and a U12 BC summer games Kootenay all-star team, all in the tournament U13 age group. The KSYSA U13 Boys team went undefeated and took home the gold medal.
