The Peter Lui rink from Castlegar will travel to Kelowna to take part in the BC Interior Mixed Masters Championship, March 11-13, 2013.

Verna Chernoff (lead), Lloyd Wood (second), Helga Skibinski (third) and Peter Lui recently won an exciting game over the Beattie rink from Grand Forks to earn a spot at the Kelowna competition.

Grand Forks jumped to an early lead but the Lui rink came back in the later ends. Lui’s squad stole a point in the 8th end to tie the game and another in an extra end for the victory.

Masters curling offers league play weekday mornings at the Castlegar Curling Club. Anyone interested in curling at any level is encouraged to call the Castlegar curling rink at 250-365-6666.
