The Castlegar Rebels defeated the first place Beaver Valley Nitehawks in Fruitvale 4-3 in overtime on Friday night in KIJHL action. Veteran defenceman Tyler Jones got the game winner at 2:43 of the overtime period, assisted by Erik Alden.
The overtime winner was Jones' second goal of the game. Also scoring for Castlegar were Tyler Robinson and Anthony Delong.
The win is the second in consecutive nights for the Rebels over the 'Hawks. The four points puts Castlegar two points out of first place, behind BV, in the Neil Murdoch Division.
