The Beaver Valley Nitehawks were not gracious hosts to the Castlegar Rebels on Saturday night in KIJHL action. The defending league champion 'Hawks crush the Rebs 5-1 behind the strong play of star forward Ryan Edwards, who had two goals and one assist.
Rookie d-man Brett Leidl scored Castlegar's only goal,assisted by Dylan Sibbald.
Jordan Gluck had a busy night in net for the Rebels, facing 48 shots and stopping 43 of them.
The Rebs bounced back to defeat Kimberley Sunday 4-1 in Castlegar.
