The senior girls’ soccer team at Stanley Humphries Secondary School (SHSS) came to the end of their run to provincials last weekend.
Held at Trail’s JL Crowe Secondary School, the SHSS Bulldogs fell in their opening game of the East-West Kootenay playoffs to Nelson’s LV Rogers. Hailey McLean scored SHSS’s only goal, with a final score of 3-1.
In the next round, JL Crowe defeated LV Rogers to win the tournament. JL Crowe now moves on to the provincial tournament in Kamloops.
Two weeks ago, the Bulldogs won three games in a tournament in Nakusp, losing in the final to Cranbrook’s Mount Baker Secondary School 3-1.
