Taylor wins Castlegar Open golf title

The competition ended with a tie for overall low gross.

The Castlegar Men’s Open golf tournament was held under sunny skies on Saturday, July 22.

A total of 56 golfers participated in the one-day event with several out-of-town golfers competing.

The competition ended with a tie for overall low gross. Both Jason Taylor and Eli Overennay carded even par 72 scores.

The tie was broken on the first playoff hole with Taylor registering a birdie while Overennay managed a par.

The low net winner with a 67 was Jeremy Kambick.

The second flight low gross went to Bill Hollis shooting an 82, with Bob Harrison capturing the low net prize with a score of 68.

After completion of the event the golfers were treated a delicious meal at the Nineteenth Hole restaurant.
