Red Mountain’s Josie Hotel opens today

Meet the head chef, who’s been preparing for this day for a year

After three years of construction and tens of millions of dollars spent, the Josie Hotel opens on Red Mountain today.

It’s the first ski-in, ski-out boutique hotel in the Kootenays. The owners of The Josie hope it will usher in a new era of growth to the Red Mountain ski resort in Rossland.

Staff have been working for months to prepare for this day.

Rossland News’ John Boivin visited The Josie recently and spoke with chef Marc-André Choquette about getting the kitchen ready for its first guests.
