The Castlegar Craft and Farmers Market opens for the season on Saturday, April 13.

The outdoor market is held every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Station Museum in downtown Castlegar until the last week in October.

The market features fresh baked goods, fresh produce, textiles, woodworking, pottery, soaps, jewelry and too many other things to name.

Vendor spots are available. Each spot is 10 ft. by 10 ft. and costs $20 each week. Proceeds from the rental spaces go towards helping to keep the museum and Zuckerberg Island open.

“We are a fun market with a solid core group that keeps us going,” says organizer Deb McIntosh. “We would love to have you if you’d like to join our market family.”

Volunteers are also needed to help with various tasks including greeting patrons, setting up, cleaning up and assisting vendors.

For more vendor or volunteer information, contact McIntosh at 250-608-1047 or send a message to the Castlegar Craft and Farmers Market Facebook page.
