City of Castlegar spraying for weeds during May

The City of Castlegar will be spraying weeds around the city over the next month.

Weed control measures will begin on May 3 are are expected to continue for about a month. Expect to see city crews working on traffic islands, sidewalks and city-owned parking lots.

The city will be using an organic product called Mungers Horticultural Vinegar (acetic acid).

Since the city is using a natural product, signage will not be posted on treated areas.
