Castlegar residents are being advised that the city will be performing routine water main maintenance and flushing east of Columbia Avenue from 27th Street to Blueberry for the next few weeks.

The city does not expect any water service interruptions and says the maintenance will not pose a health hazard.

The city says staff will try to minimize any inconvenience to local residents.

If water appears cloudy or discoloured, residents are advised to let their outdoor tap run for a few minutes until it clears, flushing out any sediment.
