The Monday going into provincials was a little scary….we had three to four injuries with only 10 girls on the team.
These girls battled through their injuries and worked together like a true team. We went two and two in round robin play placing 7th (top 8 move on). And then we were unstoppable. Winning four-straight to come out on top.
We had to play both teams we had lost to. We saw Chilliwack in the quarters and North Shore in the semis and finals. Final game score 7-4 with Steelers not taking final at bat.
Couple of highlights: five home runs total for the entire weekend with Steelers leading the way with three of them — Tessy Brandt (2) and LeeAnn Zaitsoff (1). On the mound, Chelsea Ginther pitched a stellar semi and also started the final with Brandt and Caron finishing it off.
